Hello,
I read two different articles the other day which reminded me of a question I've wanted to ask for so long.
Do you say category A and B or categories A and B?
Lots of similar ones like: group 1, 2 and 3 or groups 1,2 and 3?
Thanks a lot!
So, that means both are possible, right?
How about the others? what do you think ?
Thanks a lot
I think that both are in use.
category A and B = we can also say "category A and category B" but there's no need to repeat it so we use "category A and B"
Same story with the groups.
But, shouldn't there be a colon when we use plural form?:
- categories: A and B,
- groups: 1, 2 and 3,

Bill's answer in post #4 is equally valid in BE, too.
