    Default Modal perfect

is the a reason why the modal perfect is formed:

"He may have + past participle" and not "He may has + past participle" as the Simple Present Perfect does?

Modals are always followed by a bare infinitive:

He may come..... he may be coming..... he may have come .....he may have been coming

There is no significance in my use of the indefinite article and bhai's of the definite - except that, by typing two fewer letters than bhai, I beat him to the draw.
