Default chooke on a potato chip?

A lot of different elements go into the perfect party. Not all of them are things you can control. If two of your guests get in a fight, or someone happens to choke on a potato chip, no amount of careful planning will help. Still, there are a lot of things you can control when you decide to throw a party.

what does the expression mean to choke on a potato chip?

When you get food caught in your throat and can't breathe, you are choking. You can choke on anything, either unexpected or simply not properly chewed.

    Note: choke has one O.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

And note that in the UK 'potato chips' wouldn't be served at most parties - though potato crisps are. That said, one could choke on a (Br Eng) potato chip, which in Am Eng would be a '[French] fry'.

    Note: choke has one O.
There is at least one word that has OO representing the sound /əʊ/, ('brooch'), but I haven't done OO yet.
