    Default take me places

    Hi

    Could anyone tell me what this sentence means?

    "Her smile has taken me places."

    Thank you very much.

    (not a teacher)

    The meaning is a tad enigmatic without context.

    I am sorry to say that there is no context regarding to this sentence.

    I read this from a novel. In the novel, a boy, who is attracted by a girl, said this sentence to that girl. That's all.

    * Not a teacher

    With no context, I would interpret it this way: her smile was so beautiful that my mind immediately started wandering (I imagined all sorts of nice places (associated with her smile, beautiful as her smile)).

    That is EXACTLY what "context" means.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
