besides, in addition to..

could you help me please?
1) I'd like to know, if is there any difference between besides/in addition to in meaning or using.
2) And the same I'd like to know with these words: save/except/but.

With questions like yours, it's often best if you write a few sentences in which you're not sure which word/phrase to use.

Regarding the second question, though, I'd say they're all every similar.

Everyone failed the exam except Mary.
Everyone failed the exam but Mary. -- This might read more naturally as "Everyone but Mary failed the exam.
Everyone failed the exam save Mary. -- This usage isn't very common where I am, but it doesn't seem strange to me.

It sounds very old-fashioned to me, a speaker of BrE.

In the first question...Can I say for example: "There were 2 other boys besides me" and "In addition to me there were 2 other boys"? Is it both possible, similar and correct? Or is there anything wrong?

As long as you are a boy, you can say "There were two other boys besides me" or "In additional to me there were two other boys." Obviously, if you are a girl, you can't say these, but you could if you left out "other."
