What do you think is the difference between "flavor" and "taste"? No difference? Some website say "flavor" is a combination of tastes including even pain, while "taste" is a subject sense coming from your taste bud. Is it correct?

I think there is a difference. Let's say you're in an ice cream parlour. Someone asks you:

Which flavour do you want – chocolate or vanilla?

I don't think that you can substitute flavour for taste, because "taste" is subjective feeling that is produced by a particular food. Most people will however agree whether a particular type of ice cream is chocolate or not, there's nothing subjective about that.
