Emphasize my contribution to the company

Hello,
I want to emphasize my contribution to the company in my resume. Basically I particated the programming for a company and because of it the software go to production. The company successfully went to market. The original statements sre:

Worked with VB6/VB.NET and MS SQL Server to develop Point of Sale product for aaa stores. aaa stores operate as a division of Burnaby-based bbb Canada Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of bbb Co., Inc. (NYSE:ccc);

How to correct it?

I am confused with "develop" usage in this sentence.
Is it a mistake?
I think it must be "development" or "was to".
Please correct me if I am wrong?

You can say "was develop" or "was to develop" or "was the development of" -- but the last form is wordier than necessary.

But I am still confused with "was develop". I always think that after "to be" we have to use a adjective or a noun.

And as Barb explained shortly afterwards, that could be worded "The most important thing you did was to develop a point-of-sale product".

The rule that "to be must be followed by an adjective or a noun" is not correct. There are many places where forms of "to be" might be followed by a bare infinitive or a full infinitive.
