Default green area/ green space/ greenway?

    Hi
Could you kindly help me with a proper word for these picture? A suitable word for the man made space that are designed by the municipality of each district.

green space/ green area/ green way/ urban open space?

    Thanks a million.

Being a non-native teacher, I'm so thrilled being in such a superb forum.

    Hi,

I was thinking of it as a "park". "Urban open space", IMO, could refer to anything in a city/town not surrounded by walls or fences (so the streets would also be urban open spaces). As for the "green ____" options, they may lead the reader/listener to believe they have something to do with environmentalism or ecologism.

That said, maybe the native speakers will enlighten us some.

In the UK, it's a park. I recall from a previous thread that that is not the same in AmE. However, a park in the UK can range in size from a couple of hundred metres to acres and acres. As a collective term, you will also hear "green spaces".
