Default Thanks for attending the party this Saturday!

The party has not yet taken place.
The note is to serve as a reminder for the participants. But is it confusing? It reads like the party was over.
What I meant is 'thanks for agreeing to attend the party' but that sounds weird?

    Any help is appreciated!

If you just want to send a reminder, just say "I'm looking forward to seeing you at the party on Saturday."

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Thanks for your reply but I wish to stick with the old pattern. As I am sending it on behalf of the company and I will not be present in the party.
