His appearance is quite difficult --- grammatically correct?
Is the description grammatically and logically acceptable?
His appearance is quite difficult.
(It refers to that he is not good-looking; rather, he's unattractive and ugly.)

It's a grammatical sentence, but it doesn't convey the meaning that you intend.

It's grammatically OK, but it doesn't work for me- I would not interpret it that way.

Thank you guys.
Because ugly is an ugly word. The usage of the word difficult is an attempt for euphemism. Can't the word "difficult" be used to describe one's appearance?

No.
Commenting on one's ugly appearance is an ugly act. There is no easy way to make it pretty.
The best you could do, perhaps, is say that is appearance is rather unfortunate.

*****NOT A TEACHER*****
Perhaps you could say, 'He isn't easy on the eyes,' which doesn't strike me as harsh.
