Default English Countries or English-speaking countries?

    Hi, native speaker friends:

    which one is more natural?

    English countries or English-speaking countries?

I'm referring to countries where English is the official or most-spoken language.

There is only one English country, namely England.

I don't think you should hyphenate "English speaking" when referring to other places where English is widely used.

    I would hyphenate 'English-speaking'. By the way, here's a list: English-Speaking Countries

We'd generally hyphenate it there in BrE too.
