feeds and fuels/the delusion of being watched.
what does "feeds and fuels" mean?
"the delusion of being watched", I understand the words but I don't utterly understand the idea in the sentence,
if you know what I mean.
Television both feeds and fuels what Freud descrided as the core of the narcissistic personality-"the delusion of being watched."
Thanks for taking the time to answer this question

"feeds" and "fuels" mean about the same. I can, for example, feed gasoline to an engine, or, provide fuel to an engine. What the text says, in its rather lame way, is that television gives (feeds) people the idea that they are being watched and that television keeps reinforcing this idea by providing examples (fuels) of people who are being watched.
