    I want to ask that

    Can we use all verbs in below structures or only these verbs show, give, send, lend, pass?

    somebody something

    something to somebody

    For example, I want to buy you a present. Is it correct?

    'All verbs'? Certainly not.

    'Only these verbs. . .?' There may be a few more; I can think of tell.

    It has to be a ditransitive verb to have the two objects, which excludes an awful lot of verbs.

    You can't use "something to somebody" in the context of buying a present.

    I want to buy a present for you.
