    Does this sentence make sense to you?

    The car thus assembled was quite reliable.

    No. Your title read "Thus far/so far". That's how it's used, to mean "up until now".

    I have not seen a good sci-fi film thus far.

    ...and in addition to emsr2d2's response, "thus assembled" would mean the way in which or result of the way in it was assembled and would not refer to time/duration.

    Yes, it makes sense. I'd say, "Assembled like this, the car was quite reliable."
    And I'd choose a title line relevant to the question.
