    Default Accept or Except?

What's the difference between Accept and Except?
Example: I accept your offer of the book. / He excepted all Corvettes from his list of favorite cars

    Thanks.

This site, OneLook: General dictionary sites, is very good for that type of question.
Context is important. Please provide enough for us to be able to deal effectively with your question.
Your thread title should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.
If you just want to know the meaning of a word, try OneLook Dictionary Search first.

GabrielP, you will find this forum much more useful if you do the initial research yourself by checking dictionaries and grammar textbooks. If there is something about the definition or usage of a word that you do not understand after doing that, then please ask us to help, and explain what it is that you do not understand.
Remember - correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing make posts much easier to read.
