Personal statement
Throughout the world itseems that crime always has a major role in our society. That is why I havealways wanted to work in the police department as a detective and throughCriminology I hope to full fill that part of my life. By doing my own Researchabout criminology and talking to people who know a little about the subject Ihave come to the conclusion that I want to study criminology at your university.Through aspect of my life whether it is in my birth place or here in England Ihave seen violence. Whenever I can try to lend a hand I do but there aresituation where you cannot get involved. I want to get involved, I want to workhard and I certainly would like to make a positive change within a society.
I know what it takes towork hard to come from a background were I had very little resources to here inEngland where I have an opportunity to make something of myself. To be an assetto your university and a role model to others who will study the same subjectas I have in the future.
My attendance hasalways been excellent all the way from primary school to the last two years ofcollege. I am hard working, determined to succeed and fully focused on my goal.If you were to ask anyone who knows me they would say I am kind, honest,trustworthy and a very hard working person who enjoys whatever he does and hedoes it to his best ability.
I always try to stay inshape and throughout the years I have built up a repertoire of hobbies such asvolleyball, swimming, mixed martial arts and my favourite of all football whichI play 2 times a week. I have been playing football for more than 10 years andevery minute of it I have enjoyed. Football for me has given me the ability towork as a team, to communicate better with people and to help people duringsticky situations. If it was not for the problem of travelling all the way toBlackburn I would be playing for them now however I believe betteropportunities are to come my way in the future and I do hope being a part ofyour university is one of them.
I had work experiencein several places such as my local supermarket, coaching little kids andworking at sports direct. Through my experiences I have learnt many aspectsthat have boosted my abilities and skills in life. What I have importantlylearnt is that this is not what I want to do all my life, I want to succeed andI want to become something good if not great in life. I understand it isimportant to get experience in life because you learn from your experiences.Through my experiences I have started to work harder and to come out of my comfortzone so that I know that I am putting every ounce of effort in what I am doing.
