Hello. I read about your skills, and I decided to ask you for dome help... I have an Opel vectra c gts, year 2002, which had a TID, and i decide to upgrade it to a GID.
ok, i bought a GID from ebay, rhe seller said that it is reset, but it was not. When i mounted it on my car, it showes "display safe"...
i went to a specialist, who tried to rewrite the security chip...
he copied the information from a working GID and pasted on my chip...
the message "display safe" did not appear anymore, and the bord computer worked after another specialist made the required modifications with the TEch2... but there are two problems:
1.the gid does not show the information about the radio, on the display, the steering wheels control does not work anymore...
2. after i turn off the engine, go out and lock the car, in the garage, or anywhere else, after about 2-3 minutes, the display starts by itself, alone, and remains lighted for sometime. After that, it turns back off, and after another 2-3 minutes, it turns back on.... and so on... :(
i am desperate, the Tech2 specialist said that he did everything he had to do, and I do not know what the problem is...
shoulgd it be the GID, maybe some information or some chip was wrong handled, or should it be the CIM, or the ECU, which are not well reprogrammed...
please help me if you can, tell me what you think about this... thank you in advance.
