Hello Friends,
I am Sheela,teaching English to Junior College students in Mumbai. It's fun to be in this site and I will be happy to interact with you. I would like to go in depth in this subject so that I can teach my students better

dear m'm,
i am an student of t.y.b.a. . i am trying to improve my english . could you please help me out. i'll send my queries to you please answer them.
my first question is : is it right to use 'Mrs.' as an abbreviation of 'Misses'?
some newspapers like 'THE HINDU' use 'Ms.' instead of 'Mrs.'. please tell me in detail.

Mrs = married woman
Ms = married or single woman
Miss = single woman

I make no distinction between married or single men (Mr) or women (Ms), so I follow the pattern used by The Hindu.
