| please if you have time, have a short look at my motivation letter. I would like to spend semester in Portugal. I am afraid of my English grammar, so every advice will help me. Thank you! Dear Sir or Madam, With this letter, I would like to express my interest in studying at the University of Porto, Faculty of Arts in Porto during the summer semester next year as an Erasmus student. I am currently studying third year at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Matej Bel, Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. As my study programme I have chosen specialisation – “European Studies and International Relations.” My programme is focusing on historical, economic and political relations, especially relations and policy among EU member states. I assume to spend a part of study abroad in one of EU member countries should be necessity for my future career. It was a reason, I was very delighted to find the opportunity to spend one semester in Portugal. I see a parallel between Portugal and Slovakia, when Portugal after becoming EU member state, noticed a growth in economic and other spheres. I am eager to see outcomes of EU policy in practice and also concentrate my study on this issue. I am able to take courses in English language, in which I am at the level Upper-intermediate. But if the University provides courses only in Portuguese, it won’t be a problem for me. I welcome opportunity to learn another one language. Study in native language would ease me understanding of this country and its inhabitants and help me to create closer relation with professors and students. Furthermore I consider this programme as a great opportunity to get in touch with Portuguese culture and educational system. I am convinced this experience would strongly enrich my future studies and help me in my prospective profession. Thank you for your attention I look forward to your positive response. Yours faithfully, maria novakova |
