Maritial status has no business on a resume or application. I will gladly quote verse and chapter in US law. It is actually considered discrimination to ask the question unless it is vital for the position.

I agree Cassie. The US is not my home but I am very familiar with labor laws and employment here. On a common sense basis - I apply for a job not to socialize.
