Question Help with Counter Arguements

I am currently writing an essay as homework and have been told by my teacher to include a counter argument into a paragraph and I don't know what she means. Anybody got any ideas ?

Default Re: Help with Counter Arguements

Say in para one you argue for the abolishing of corporal punishment of children by their parents.

In para two, you put forward an argument supporting the right of the parent to admonish the child.

That is a counter-argument [an argument against something previously stated]
