Default 'low-key'

Hello!

If I say "It was a really low-key place to spend my holiday", does it mean that I'm talking about some quiet, serene, relaxing place?

***NOT A TEACHER***Maybe. But "low-key(ed) place" could also mean a place that does not try to attract a lot of attention. Perhaps a rather simple place. Not super fancy. Not super expensive. Maybe "modest" would be another appropriate word.
