    Question Can't tell...

    Hi,

    this phrase is taken from David Gray lyrics and I'd like to know what it means:

    "Can't tell the bottle from the mountain top. (No we're not right)"

    Presumably, the mountain top represents a high point and the narrator is unable to distinguish between that and alcohol, so they're messed up.
