Hello Dear Friends,
I would like to ask what is this phrase about?
For me it sounds like a phrase used after the first round of discussion in a parliament is over.
"As the dust begins to settle I would like to introduce you to this second round of discussion"

If I am totally wrong could you please provide me two examples ? (one sometimes is not enough to make the clear distinction what a phrase is about).

"Now that the discussion has slowed, let us discuss this second issue."

Vigorous activity, on bare ground, raises dust. As the activity slows, the dust settles back to the ground. It is time to move on to the next activity.

Thanks for the replies! Could you please provide any vigorous activity example that using that phrase could be okay? This phrase sounds very formal (to me) to be used to other contexts rather than pure formal speeches.
