Default what are they?

hi everyone,
I'm wondering about these two:
1. writtn in the stars
2. curtain falls.
I'm just trying to know if they are idioms or normal sentences, and I want to know if they have any specific meaning, can somebody enlighten my mind, Please?

'Written in the stars' is an idiomatic metaphor derived from the prognosticating pretensions of astrologists. It means 'fated'.

'The curtain falls' is taken from the world of stage performance, and is a simple descriptive phrase for the indication of the end of a scene, act or performance. It has been carried over to other contexts to indicate the end of whatever.
