    Default First always win

    Hello,
    I think there is a phrase that expresses that only the first/faster always wins/gets everything while the last or the latest always lose.

    Could you please help me find out these phrase?

    I am not a teacher nor a native English speaker.

    Maybe what you are looking for is one of the two following sentences:

    1/ The winner takes it all, the looser has to fall.
    2/ If you are first you are the first, if you are second you are nothing.
