Default crowd pleaser

I'm looking for an idiom which describes a crowd pleaser, particularly a crowd pleasing politician.

The man is just a Noun.

The man is just Verb-ING.

Is there any good idiom?

A crowd-pleaser is charismatic.
He is just enthralling, enchanting, exciting, stimulating?
