    These are the expressions:

    1) make a statement about
Said something. Make his position clear. Talked about an issue. He made a statement about the oil spill.

    2)keep up with trends
Do what is popular. The trend (the style) may be for shorter dresses this year and some women like to keep up with the trends by buying shorter dresses.

    3)have staying power
The ability and desire to not quit. It the costs keep going up, few will have the staying power to remain in the housing market.

    4)set tongues wagging
Did or said something that made people talk about him. Tongues were wagging (moving quickly) after he danced with the tall woman.

    5)the darling of
The favorite person or idea. Darling is another word for someone you have tender emotions for. She was the darling of the squardon. The Lincoln was the darling of the Ford family.

6)he wouldn't take no for an answer
He refused to accept a negative response. He asked her to go to the dance with him. She said she wouldn't but he asked again - he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Could be possible for you to explain to me all of them???
    Thanks in advance =)
