Question cave people?

Marsha: He's out banging other women over the head with a club, while she sits at home trying to get the mastodon smell out of the carpet!

Ross: Marsha, these are cave people. Okay? They have issues like 'Gee, that glacier's getting kinda close.' See? ( Friends Season )

what's the meaning of "cave people" ?

thanks......

cave people is the same as cavemen-people who lived in caves long time ago. So-uncivilized, barbaric, etc.

They are not interested in sophisticated, "civilized" things. All they care about are very basic things; women-for him, and cleaning the house-for her, as if there is nothing more to it in life, nothing more profound....This is how I get it.

In addition, 'cave people' is in reference to Paleolithic humans. Paleolithic refers to the Stone Age era, when humans used stone tools. That period extends from 2.4 million years ago to 10,000 years ago.

cave refers to where they lived: they lived in caves, apparently.

A reference to people who are not modern or current in their thinking. Neanderthal thinkers!
