Thumbs up Not quite a fit.

Hello, I am a first-time user in need of an answer. So far, I have had no success in determining the correct term for the "pointy finger icon." I believed it was somthing like "chapand," but have had no luck finding even that term. Our local library was at a loss as well. Trivial question to be sure, but one much like grit in my sock. Thank you.

I call it a "thumbs up" icon. I am not aware of any other names for that...

"Thumbs Up" is recognised body language for "OK" in most places around the globe. However, in one country it is an insult. Know which one?
