| -to chew sb's ear off- to give somebody hell, to give somebody an earful, to read them the riot act, to chew them out, to give it to them with both barrels, to ream someone out, etc. -half cocked ideas about ...half-baked ideas, ill conceived, not thought out, half-ass (vulg.), impractical, -to be dresses like an oversexed peacock - sticking out like a sore thumb, decked out, dolled up, dressed to kill, dressed to the nines, spiffed up, spruced up, -To look like a fancy piece -what are you referring to here? -to be the odd man out - odd man out is one too many: The golf inviatation was for two couples to play a foursome. When Mary showed up, she was odd man out. Last edited by Marylin; 05-Sep-2005 at 03:34. |
