Hello dear friends.
I am translating something from Russian to English, and am in a need of idioms that have the same meaning, so that I can choose the most fitting one from them.
For example
He hit the roof / He blew his stack / He flipped his lid / He's fit to be tied / He hit the ceiling / He's hot under the collar / to have one's nose out of joint
I am sure there are such books, that have the similar idioms groups together with their explanation.
Can you please point me to them?? I can't find via Google, i only find the usual "idioms dictionaries."
I would be very grateful for any help. I really need help. :) Thank you.
I don't know of a book that groups similar idioms together, but, if there is one, one of our members will post the details here.
In the meantime, you could just google your expressions, as I did with 'blow one's stack'. I found a few synonyms here: Blew ones stack Synonyms, Blew ones stack Antonyms | Thesaurus.com

That totally solved my problem, thank you so much.
That was actually what i was looking for - something online and a quick way to find the synonyms of known idioms.
A very good dictionary:)
