    Default How to say thanks

    Hello.

I was looking for an idiom in English, which express some gratitude to smb for doing what they are asked to do. For example, "I [????] for reading my message."
What can I say in that [???] field. I found an expression
    "my hat flips to you"..
So can I say smth like " If you have read this all, I must admit that once again my hat flips to you".. ?
    Thanks :)

If you said that to me, I would want to examine your strange hat most carefully.

Ok, then your suggestion could be...? :) Some kind of "take my hat off... "... and with "off before you / off for you"..?

I just need some advice, what to use in such sentence.. :)

I take my hat off to ...' is a somwhat dated expression of respect for someone. I am afraid that I cannot think of any idiomatic expressions for 'thank you'. There are the formal 'I am/will be in your debt' or 'I (would) appreciate ..' and the very informal 'ta' and 'cheers'.

Some less geriatiric member may be able to help.

You can say the following sentence:

    I appreciate your consideration.

    How about:

    My gratitude will never end.

    My gratitude will be tangible.

My gratitude will shake the very foundations of the earth.

(These are, of course, NOT idioms.)

What about "much obliged"? sometimes I hear this expression, but we need an answer from a native speaker here.

I would use that as a response:

Easybreakable: I have found what you were looking for.
    Me: Much obliged.

To me, it's an informal way of saying Thank you.
