Default go get a life

What does "go get a life" mean?
I guess this means "to change one's atitude" or something.
Thank you.

"Go get a Life", may mean that in a game of gambling after you have finished all your bucks, you're asked to get some more money to be eligible to play again.
I know this is my concoction. Moderator can correct me, if wrong.

Nothing to do with what ASESH says - it is an insult!!

If you say it, you are saying that that person is not welcome in your company & that they should 'get a life' of their own and stop annoying you with trivial matters. It is also an insult to say if someone is boring you as they are interested in a very boring subject and will not be quiet about it.

Imagine you HATE talking about cars, and someone keeps talking about an engine upgrade they have just done, how much it cost and every other detail. You ask them to 'shut up' but they keep on talking. It's pathetic. You don't care....."get a life" usually accompanied with "you waste of space" (the world would be better with nothing rather than you)!

Peppy_man, you are quite close. As they had better change their attitude to remain popular!

I agree with Hobbes- it's a way of telling someone to stop being petty- if they had a life, they wouldn't be so concerned with trivial things.
