Default All hell's broken loose

"All hell's broken loose here."

Could someone explain to me what this sentence means? Sorry if it's a rude or not nice sentence...

It means that events have got out of control-chaos, confusion, possibly arguing and fighting. It's not rude, but it's not formal.

Thanks! Something like that was my thought due to the context, but I wasn't sure. So that -'s- is a 'has', isn't it.. Then it's not really an idiom...

It is 'has'. It's a borderline case- it's logical, but many learners wouldn't get it from the words; let's play safe and say it's an idiomatic expression.

Talking Re: All hell's broken loose

In the US:

All hell's broke loose. (Not broken.. "broke" is bad grammar and its usage is part of the idiom)

Hell's broke loose in Georgia.
