"to get the cold shoulder"
"Undoubtedly, America will remain committed to Israel's security and continued existence. The US will not take Israel hostage because of Netanyahu's conduct, but anything beyond that – we should expect to get the cold shoulder."
More: Netanyahu gambled, we'll pay - Israel Opinion, Ynetnews
In the given text we have to get the cold shoulder while in dictionary we have give the cold shoulder. Is it correct to use get instead of give?

Do you understand the relationship between "get" and "give"?

No, not synonyms. One person gives a thing and the other person gets it. I give it to you, you get it from me.
