Hi,

I am translating a book into Swedish and am wondering about an expression used in it. The hero is taken captive, and all seems hopeless, but suddenly he discovers something that seems to change the situation. At this point he thinks to himself: "Mind in heart. Hold on. Mind in heart." I am not sure what this expression means, so I have some difficulties translating it. Is this an idiomatic expression at all, or is it something made up but the author for this exclusive situation?

It sounds like something the author created to me. I'd guess he wants his logical thought processes to listen to the optimism of his emotions.
