Behind the lamp
Dear all,
What does the idiom "behind the lamp" mean?
Thanks for your help,
Dany

Re: Behind the lamp
Can you give us the context? It's not an idiom I've ever heard.

Re: Behind the lamp
It's hard to give you any context, as I have heard it in many contexts. For example when sth. is confusing, or something doesn't work as it should.
I have often heard this phrase but I have never understood it. May be it is a hearing mistake of me

Re: Behind the lamp
If you look at the Google results, you'll see it isn't used in the way, or much at all:

However, I can't think of what it might be, but I'll keep trying.
