I'd say:
"If you were in (a certain country) and didn't visit (a certain attraction), it is like you had never been there".
Some might prefer 'as if' over 'like' there too.![]()

What I want to know is if the above is correctly written, or if somebody can help me to rephrase it in the most accurate way.
