Red face let the rest of the world ---

"Let the rest of the world beat their brains out for a buck."
What does this idiom mean? Have you ever heard someone use this idiom?
Thank you.

Talking Re: let the rest of the world ---

Are you sure that the sentence you wrote is an idiom????????

by the way, whatever it is , it MAY mean that everyone in this world is doing everything without thinking, and (sorry to say that) let them be like donkeys. because they don't think about tproblems of their life, and just try to do what reaches to theit brain at a moment.

I think it means that you should let people drive themselves crazy in search of money, which implies that the quest for money is not the best thing in life.

For example: "Let the rest of the world beat their brains out for a buck, I'll stick with buying lottery tickets!"

Let everyone else work hard for their money, I want mine the easy way.
