That would be "a case of sour grapes". (It's based on Aesop's fable about the fox and the grapes. A fox saw some grapes hanging from a vine. The fox tried to reach the grapes but failed. Since the fox couldn't get the grapes he decided they were sour and that he wouldn't have wanted them anyway.)
