The expression "What time do you make it?"
Hi
I'm very curious to know why it is said like ' What time do you make it?' or 'What time do you have?' or ' What time you got?' when people want to know the present time in English.
I usually know that 'make it' means 'success',' accomplish',...
but it's weired to use make or have or got...
I can't understand...
Help me please...
and indicate my phrase to corret above.

Both 'What time do you have?' and ' What time you got?' simply mean,
'What time do you have [on your watch]?
