we'r doin some kind of rhetoric practise...we needs to write 2 tropes of how we feel after we challenge sth. difficulty and failed... my friend and I thought we should treasure the experience even if we failed... so we came up with one "I treasure my experience as a veteran treasure his scar from the war".. and we couldn't think of anything else can anybody help to think of a saying ( trope)? thnx a lot Last edited by wml; 20-Aug-2006 at 21:05.

You read about somebody describing his experiences during the war. Is that close?

Your saying (revised by me): I treasure my experiences as a war veteran treasures his wounds. Also (possibly): I am sadder but wiser for having gone through it.Is that the idea?
