have a monkey on your back = To have an addiction, especially a drug addiction; To have a deep, uncontrollable desire to something such as Gamble, Smoke, Sweet or Drink.



e.g.

Man, he's got a monkey on his back! He's so wasted!

hi,


the green-eyed-monster = a feeling of anger or unhappiness because somebody you like or love is showing interest in somebody else; jealousy;


e.g.

In the next week's programme we will be looking at the green-eyed-monster, jealousy.

like a bat out of hell ( informal )= very fast


e.g.
If there were a fire, I would not try to save any possessions. I would be off like a bat out of hell.

hen weekend-women party
flock mentality/follower-we usually follow groups
to be a love rat - a man who is unreliable, does problems
to look like a lobster - to be red
stray dog-man is a stray dog, doesnt want to have relationships
chameleon friend-he can change easily
doggy style (UD)-sex
party animal (UD)-like parties
to be a cuddly lion-everything has two sides, can be nice as a cuddly lion, but also can "bite" you
partnership as a bunny-

bunny boiler (UD)
worm food (UD)-old person
little pig (talking about child, eating)
chick flick (kind of movie) also UD
to feel like a beached whale- fat person(beached whale, UD)
chick lit (like black coffee, no colour, but kind/genre) –also UD
chicken fillets (UD)
hot chick (UD)-nice girl
rock chick(UD)-rock girl
sheepish smile ?
weak as a kitten-very weak
puppy dog eyes (UD)-very cute sight
wolf – whistle (to be wolf whistled, n, UD)-when a woman is attractive, it is a sound man can do when he sees her
to go off like a frog in a sock (UD)-get mad


I would like to ask some people to tell me which of these expressions can be regarded as idioms...i found them in a Cosmopolitan, but they are not typical idioms...but maybe they can become....i only want to know, which one do you use...if you use any....or you think you could understand them as idioms...
its for my thesis

raining like cats and dog means continous rain
it has been raining like cats and dog sice morning

"That cat won't jump!"
meaning "That won't do", "Thats' no good!"
