| Hi Forgive me if this idiom has been already posted like a chicken with its head cut off- in a hysterical manner; in a frenzy; in a very nervous way EXAMPLE 1: Ken was late for work, and he couldn't find his car keys. He was running around his apartment like a chicken with its head cut off. EXAMPLE 2: Patricia ran around the school looking for her lost backpack like a chicken with its head cut off. NOTE: This idiom is usually used with the phrase "to run around" as in the above examples. I.A |

| hi, God forbid! There is no need to ask for forgiveness. These idioms are not very easy to be learned. That's why revision is always come in hand. REPETITION IS THE MOTHER OF SKILL. We are not making an idiom conquest about who is the most original, but we are trying to study and learn together these idioms. So do not bother if an idiom has already been posted.
