    Question "behind my back"

    Hi,

    does anyone else think "behind my back" is redundant?
    And also, shouldn't "behind the back" mean in the "front"? ;)

    Although I've been saying it all my life, now that you mention it, it is redundant. It is also idiomatic, and idioms can't be taken literally.
