Default couldn't be much more from the heart

Hi,
I can't understand two lines in one song - "Nothing else matters" by Metallica. Could you please explain what they mean?
The first one is next "couldn't be much more from the heart".
And second one is "forever trusting who we are".
Full verse as follows:
Quote:
So close no matter how far
couldn't be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters
I hope, my question is not absolutely stupid :)

I think the first means that the singer couldn't have any stronger feelings than he does, and the second is about having faith in themselves.
