i've heard a saying a few times recently along the lines of:

"allow time for the cracked as they let in some light"

anyone heard this before, and if so do you know the "correct" version,

Maybe the pun needs some explanation.

Cracks (small gaps in something solid) let in light.

Cracked can mean, when used of a person, 'mad'.

'Let in light' can be used to mean 'explain things'.
