Default turn your light on

Hello,

Relationships always get better when we raise our level of consciousness and turn the light on.

Any suggestion what can be replaced the phrase "turn the light on" here? open mind? or what exactly is its meaning? It's nothing about "neon light" for sure.

tks,

This sounds just slightly naughty. Alternatives in common useage include:

'press all the right buttons'
'hit the right spot'

Or maybe I have misinterpreted the whole thing

As always, context would help. As it is it is hard to see what is meant by light here, although its use is no doubt metaphorical. There is a phrase "the light of understanding". Perhaps that is the light that is intended.

More likely to hear 'raising the level of awareness' rather than consciousness.
Also working in the dark is not always conducive to good working relations and turn the light on implies your are already in the dark. Unless this is contextually regarding raising your consciousness by meditating in the dark and then turining the light on, though I think probably not.
