When does a idiom become a cliche????
To let the cat out of the bag is which one???

It's an idiom. An idiom will become a cliche when it gets boring.

The focus of "cliche" is overuse. Any expression that is overused can be a cliche, idiom or not.

Yep. That's right. Both refer to divulging something that was previously unknown to the listener.
